Hi, I'm 23Sonics

I use a custom image based on Fedora Linux on my main desktop, as well as Windows 11 on a laptop sometimes. I also own a 2014 Packard Bell EasyNote that I like to call "the funny laptop" which came with Windows 8.1 but has ultimately become a kind of sandbox. I also have an Asus Eee PC 701 and an HP OmniBook XE3...

...in case you couldn't tell, I'm into older computers going as far back as the '90s. (which is pretty funny considering I did not exist during that decade)

I'm also into video games – particularly Tetris, Puyo Puyo, Rhythm Doctor, CookieRun and, rather unsurprisingly, Sonic the Hedgehog.

Between 2018 and 2020, I worked with the C# programming language as a hobby, which led to the development of Windows MAN, a simple documentation system for Windows only, though by no means an attempt to revolutionise the world of electronic help. Feel free to check it out if you want.

so... what exactly is a catwormdog?

It's a reference to quite a funny mistake I made a long time ago, when I played some game I've mostly forgotten about except for the fact it was published by Big Fish Games. I talked to someone about it, and they told me about a dance with a similar name, which was once popular in the '90s rave scene and later reused by Bob the Builder:

"Big fish, little fish, cardboard box."

The problem was that somehow, instead of "cardboard box" I heard - and reciprocated - "cat, worm, dog." Of course, I was corrected immediately afterwards.

At the end of June 2025, a slightly fuzzy version of that memory came back in full force, and I got the domain name catwormdog.net.
